Biography

Dr. Jingying Zhang is a Principal Data Scientist at Walmart Labs, where she leads a data science team to build different analytical products using advanced technologies such as machine learning, simulation, and optimization to improve operation efficiency and customer experience.              

Since she joined Walmart in 2011, she has worked across different organizations at Walmart. Over the course of her career, Jingying has received numerous honors including Spark Award from Walmart Labs, an outstanding female technologist for attending She Rocks program and second place in the poster competition at the first annual Walmart Analytics Meeting. Jingying received the master’s degree in Statistics at the University of Arkansas and Electrical Engineering at the Henan Polytechnic University. She obtained the Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas.
